Spring in the Sonoran Desert

One of the common names for this is fairy duster. Its always one of the earliest bloomers, on bare rocky places, and it blooms every year, no matter how dry the winter. I have hopes this year the spring flowers will be amazing because we had a wet winter but too early to tell yet.
