This is the 1930’s Art Deco building was the reason I stopped to take photos in this neighborhood on Stone. It is currently in use by a who handles “divorces, bonds, child suppport, income tax, accounting” and an insurance agent.

Hi, love these art deco buildings. Love the photos – bring back memories of my stay there (at the Roadrunner Hostel) 6 years ago this very day. Very strange atmosphere at the time (naturally) but the people I met were wonderful and my stay was very pleasant. Spent most of it in the old town (checking out the Mexican restaurants) and San Xavier. I remember a used car lot with a sign saying something like ‘ugly but honest’ – have you seen it? From what I remember it wasn’t too far from the old courthouse and there was an amazing Spanish style church just across the road from it. S Stone Ave possibly?

I’ve been passing that building hundreds of times, never knew it was that old!
Might it have been a gas station originally?

I thought it looked like an old gas station. Wouldn’t it be great to have an office in a building like that?
I put a link to all the arizona daily photos on my blog – LivingInTheEastValley.com.
i just started Chandler Daily photo and I plan to visit your blog often.

There is a retail center here in Cool Springs TN that looks very similiar in design to this 1930’s art deco building.
